While practicing basic filigree techniques, the designer created several simple circles and unexpectedly discovered that the patterns closely resembled the phases of the moon. They look beautiful whether worn as a single piece or arranged in various combinations. The "Moon Phase Studs" were born from this process—the overlapping of a large and small circle perfectly traces the path of the moon rising and setting.
